Three Ways To Make Your Shower Match Your Style

Match Your Style!

Your shower is often the last thing to get done in a bathroom remodel. But that doesn’t mean it can’t match your style.  From the type of glass you choose to the color of hardware finish and look, you can have exactly what you want. Here are three ways to customize your shower to match your style.

Type of Glass

This gray glass creates a bold and unique look in any bathroom.

Glass is our business, and we feel confident that we have the best. But there’s more to stretch your imagination besides our standard clear glass.  We generally recommend that you choose our superior quality HDglass™ (which, with its low iron content, is ultra-clear with no greenish tint).

But if you are looking for something more bold, unique,or have privacy concerns, you could go with any of our premium tinted glass types, such as bronze or gray glass, rain glass, or frosted glass. Each of these glass types can be used in any shower configuration that you choose, and can create an exciting look that is all you.

We also recommend that you choose to get your glass, whatever the color, with ClearShield glass protector.  This treatment makes your shower easier to clean and maintain over time.

For examples of our our other types of glass, you can have a look at our Shower Buying Guide, where we lay out the ABC’s of buying a shower from beginning to end. There, you’ll see all the different types of glass and hardware finishes you can choose.

Hardware Finishes

Here are our four most popular finishes that we offer.

Here are our four most popular finishes that we offer.

We offer four types of finishes for our shower hardware that coordinate with the most popular finishes being used in the bathroom fixture space today.  Chrome, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze, and brass match the finishes offered by most major bathroom fixture manufacturers.  But you should also know that we offer many, many other finishes.  If you come up with something you want, please feel free to talk to your sales person about it, and we’ll do our best to get it for you.\

If you are getting a completely frameless shower, you might be wondering exactly what hardware will have the finishes on it.   Well, depending on your type of shower, you’ll have different hinges to attach the glass to the wall or to other panes of glass, as well as the handles to consider. You also might have something known as a U-Channel to hold a pane of glass.  All of these pieces of hardware are functional for the shower — but they can also be beautiful.

If you are getting one of our specialty sliding shower doors like our Metro shower (which is great for those of you not doing a full remodel), then the hardware is at the top of the shower – a guide tube with wheels that help it glide smoothly and quietly. To the left, you can see a close-up of this shower hardware in popular and trend-setting oil-rubbed bronze.

Handle Styles

Our many beautiful handle styles come in each of our four most popular finishes.  You’re sure to find one that suits your style, whether it is traditional, country, Victorian, or modern.

You’ll also be able to get specialty items like a door handle/towel bar combo — something that is functional and attractive to boot.
